Nathan Anderson, founder of May Cause Dizziness Records, is facing a challenging new chapter in his life after being diagnosed with squamous cell malignant lung cancer. A pillar of the Arizona music community, Anderson has dedicated his career to nurturing underground music and supporting independent artists with a raw, DIY approach. In response to his diagnosis, the local punk rock and music scene is coming together to offer their support as he battles this illness.
Anderson’s career, which began with his work on releases like The Half Empties under Rogue Records and later the founding of May Cause Dizziness Records, has been marked by his dedication to grassroots music culture. His label’s notable releases include works from Big Vinny and the Cattle Thieves, Hollowpoints, North Side Kings, Love Me Nots, and Black Market Sound System, among others. Over the years, Anderson has become an integral figure in Arizona’s music scene, and his impact resonates far beyond the local community.
As Nathan faces this health challenge, the community is stepping up to help ease his financial burdens. Medical bills, treatment costs, and daily living expenses have become an overwhelming strain, which is why a fundraising campaign has been launched to support his recovery.
How You Can Help:
A fund has been created to alleviate some of the financial pressure Nathan is under during this difficult time. Contributions will go directly toward the following:
- Medical Treatments & Medications
- Travel Expenses for Doctor & Hospital Visits
- Daily Living Costs During Recovery
Every donation—no matter the size—will have a meaningful impact, allowing Nathan to focus on what matters most: his health and recovery.
